We extend a warm welcome to St Brigid’s Primary School Raymond Terrace.

St Brigid’s is a large rural school drawing enrolments from Raymond Terrace and the Port Stephens area. St Brigid’s operates under the governance of the Catholic Schools Office in the Diocese of Maitland-Newcastle.

Our school was founded by the Sisters of Mercy and their Charism inspires our Catholic culture. We endeavour to live out the values of Mercy: Compassion, Courage, Hospitality, Service, Justice and Respect. We place high value on ensuring St Brigid’s continues to be a place that is authentically Catholic; embracing the message of Jesus and evokes an environment that is welcoming, supportive and faith filled.

Supportive relationships that are respectful, collaborative and restorative, underpin our wonderful school. We strive to ensure all members of the school community feel a sense of belonging and are valued and supported.

Our staff are committed to each child reaching their full potential in a culture of love, respect and understanding. We continue to strive for excellence in education in partnership with families and celebrate effort and achievements. We pride ourselves on the quality of our Learning Support team and, value and respect Aboriginal cultural as we continue to learn together. We are blessed with a new contemporary learning hub and outdoor sensory area to further support our students.

Sport participation is valued and encouraged with opportunity for representation at higher levels, participation in gala days and morning sport activities. Our large playground areas provide a variety of interesting play options for the children to explore, create and cooperate.

As parents, you are an important member of our school community, and we invite you to actively participate in your child’s education. Be assured that you will be warmly welcomed, whichever way you decide to be involved.

I invite you to join us in our learning journey and to share with us the warmth of a caring community. I invite you to also walk with us in partnership as we learn together and grow in faith with our God.

May God bless each one of us as we work together to bring God’s message to those we meet. May we see the face of Jesus in each other as we meet during the year, and may each day be a new beginning and a new experience of the power of God in our life.

God Bless,

Marlene George
